We are delighted to welcome Eilidh Simon to the Naturally Compliant team as our new Senior Ecologist.
Eilidh began her career as a graduate ecologist with a renewable energy ecological consultancy, where she spent almost three years progressing to a consultant field ornithologist. Her experience includes serving as an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) throughout the construction phase for several windfarm projects close to Glasgow. Over time, she has developed a strong interest in ornithological and ecological work – areas she would like to deepen her career in as she takes on this new role.
Eilidh was drawn to Naturally Compliant for its clear values, collaborative culture, and commitment to advancing ecological performance within the construction industry – a place where she can continue to grow her expertise and make a real difference. She shares:
“Working for a small company with defined values and goals has always been something I’ve looked for in my career, and I believe Naturally Compliant has this! I like that Naturally Compliant has a growing mindset to improve ecological performance within the construction industry and better define the ecological and environmental roles.”
Eilidh is enthusiastic about contributing to the team’s mission:
“I’m looking forward to working with the team and clients to develop the business and provide practical and achievable mitigation measures. I want to make a difference in the industry, and I believe Naturally Compliant has the drive to do this.”
Outside of work, Eilidh is passionate about sustainability. She’s currently learning Gàidhlig and runs an Instagram account promoting eco-friendly living, where she shares creative recipes and local dining finds. Next year, she’ll take her love for wildlife global – volunteering in ornithological research in the Peruvian Amazon.
